‍Cape is building the first spend management platform that issues virtual corporate cards designed to help every company strengthen their cash flow by providing full visibility and control around all purchasing, so that they can cut wasteful spending and the time taken on financial administration work. We’re just getting started and we’re looking for people to join our team who are as passionate as we are to build the platform that free’s business owners from the sleepless nights caused by cash flow worries so that they can focus on what really matters - growing their business and taking care of their people.

‍About the role
We’re looking for a Front End Web Developer (code wrangler) to join our team immediately, this role has an initial need which will transition over time as the project is developed, right now we’re looking for someone who’s strong on CSS and comfortable with building/modifying a master style sheet for a web application, working closely with our design team taking Figma pages and then rendering them as working html/css/javascript pages so that, in turn, they can be wired up to our existing back end. This is the initial part of a Rapid Application Development process to define and validate the product features and functionality that we’re taking to market and launching with in the very near future. Within the first couple of months the role will then transition and change into building a React App based on this defined functionality, creating components and composable pages from these components with Unit/Functionality testing built in. So if you don’t know React already you will then get the opportunity to learn and you will make a difference in the development of our online presence. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills further down the React path as we then build and release a full featured ReactNative app for IOS and Android. Plenty of opportunity exists for the right person to branch out and become full stack as we integrate with market leading vendors for new functionality.

Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years experience in web development.
• A strong understanding of core javascript and a background in building complex single page applications to a high standard.
• Technical expertise in React.
• Strong CSS and HTML skills.
• A good understanding of web application architecture.
• Background in delivering key features in a product.

Bonus points
• GCP DevOps experience.
• Experience in the payments or fintech industry.
• Prior experience building slick, smooth and responsive user interfaces with React Native.
If you’ve got broad programming experience or a desire to transition into a Full Stack Engineer role in the future then that would also be great.
